Alfie Best

Alfie Best as a prominent and influential celebrity entrepreneur who, himself, had invested significantly into the UAE.  Alfie has been actively campaigning for the release of Albert Douglas since his wrongful detention in Dubai earlier this year.

The British Romanichal businessman and philanthropist comes from a tight community who invest hundreds of millions in Dubai.  After the treatment of Albert Douglas, the #FreeAlbert Campaign has taken unprecedented steps in warning investors to avoid the UAE and the Dubai Expo.

"No Romany Traveller should invest in Dubai while Albert is denied due process, denied a fair hearing, abused and tortured while in the prison system.  Albert was targeted for appearing wealthy and has been held a hostage by authorities", said Wolfgang Douglas, Albert's son.

INVESTORS AND SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS ARE TARGETED IN THE UAE BY GREEDY AND CORRUPT LOCALS

THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT HAS CHOSEN NOT TO WARN CITIZENS

THE UAE IS ONE OF THE RISKIEST PLACES FOR BRITISH NATIONALS TO VISIT OR INVEST IN

"The UAE invests a great deal in media advertising; marketing the country globally as a desirable tourist destination and hub for business. It can be disconcerting because one can be looking at an Emirates advertisement on one side of their newspaper, while reading another UAE tourist horror story on the other. Dubai will host Expo 2020 this year, showcasing entrepreneurship, business and development opportunities, despite being one of the riskiest places to invest in the world.

"Over the past decade, we have seen unimaginable, blatantly lawless conduct from local business partners, sponsors, lawyers, and from the ruling families themselves. Foreign investors have served lengthy prison sentences after being levied with false allegations, ostensibly designed to neutralise them while predatory business associates can pick off their assets." - Radha Stirling, founder of Detained in Dubai
